A grand 1,551 acres of majestic land in the most scenic part of the island lies for ready for development. Situated towards the western tip of the island, where dense vegetation, hills and the Caribbean Sea meet to form the Santa Martha Bay, it is home to the two estates nestled on each side of the bay. Although it seemingly starts with an island, a peninsula actually stretches over the water and sits almost centrally in the bay at an elevated point with stunning views over both estates. Salt pans measuring 79 acres are next before the estate continues along the bay to its mouth. Thereafter the shoreline spans 984 yards of coral beach and cliffs. A secluded 492 feet sandy beach, Playa Franki, culminates the shoreline before the estate heads back inland towards the gate. As with all historic estates on the island, aside from the acreage and salt pans, San Nicolas includes a plantation house. Designated as a protected monument, the main building measuring 359 square yards is accompanied by other smaller structures and even a swimming pool. It sits at a vantage point, with captivating views over the bay on one side and an infinite sweep over the hills into the sea on the other. The estates vegetation consists of dense native foliage on plains and hills reaching above 250 feet.
The Groot Santa Martha estate measures 795 acres and is designated as Future Development Land. It lies across from the 185-acre Santa Martha Bay and borders the small town of Soto and Groot Santa Martha plantation house. The estate follows 1,060 yards of bay shoreline past salt pans, almost reaching the bays inlet. There it borders the Sunset Waters terrain, after which it stretches out to the Caribbean Sea and continues along an extensive 820 yards of coral shoreline. A secluded, 490 feet sandy beach, Playa Hundu reveals itself before the estate heads back inland through the next inlet opening up to a small bay. As with its counterpart, dense native vegetation and varied hills reaching above 260 feet span the estate.
Diverse development opportunities await the San Nicolas estate, including a marina as the Santa Martha Bays depth averages 10 feet, reaching a maximum depth of 16 feet. Other development avenues such as resorts and golf courses can equally be explored due to its specific land features.
